On 17 July 2026, at the invitation of Stevie Tiori Tiori, Product Marketing Business Partner at Unitec, Cambridge International Academy (CIA) organised a group of students interested in Unitec’s Trades programmes to participate in the Trades and Construction Tour, providing them with an excellent opportunity to explore vocational education and career pathways in New Zealand.

During the visit, representatives from Unitec’s Trades faculty introduced the structure of the programmes, entry requirements, course content, and the faculty’s vision for developing highly skilled graduates. Students also learned about industry trends, employment opportunities, and the growing demand for skilled professionals across New Zealand, gaining valuable insights into both academic and career pathways.

The tour included visits to Unitec’s specialist training facilities, workshops, and campus learning spaces, where students experienced the practical learning environment firsthand. They also had the opportunity to speak with current students, who shared their study experiences, campus life, and future career aspirations. These conversations provided authentic perspectives and helped participants gain a deeper understanding of Unitec’s industry-focused, hands-on approach to education.

The visit offered students a clearer understanding of Unitec’s Trades programmes and supported them in making informed decisions about their future study and career plans. As part of its ongoing commitment to student success, Cambridge International Academy continues to build strong partnerships with leading New Zealand education providers, creating valuable opportunities for students to explore academic pathways and engage directly with universities and institutes.

CIA looks forward to strengthening its collaboration with Unitec and providing more opportunities for students to connect with New Zealand’s world-class education sector while preparing for successful academic and professional futures.
